Taken just after sunset, orange-yellow skies appear over the Bristol Channel and a distant ship is just about seen on the horizon as it makes its way west along the channel, while the last of the sunlight illuminates the rock pools along the Glamorganshire coastline at Fontygary. And the last train heads east out from Aberthaw power station towards Barry with rake of empty coal wagons destined for Stoke Gifford on the 4C96 with 66553 in charge.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
