Remarks & Notes |
West Portal of Tunnel 11 - [Gorge Ride 2017 Series] - A large Cholla (Genus Cylindropuntia) with numerous blooms on it prepare to burst forward after an unusually wet winter in the Sonoran Desert.
Cholla grows in the Sonoran Desert of the American Southwest and while it is a force to be reckoned with while trekking, it can be quite beautiful at a safe distance.
Here, a Cholla plant has sent out blooms which are the yellow buttons on the arms. |
