Sparta Junction Set Out
New York Susquehanna & Western local SJ-1 routinely sets cars out for pick up by the SU-100 on the South end of the Gap siding while loads are dropped on the North end by the counterpart SU-99. Occasionally the designated SJ-1 engine requires maintenance or routine inspections and is left with the evenings set out for the SU-100. Such is the case on this brisk March morning as SD33-ECO number 3016 waits on the siding with a 10 car train.
