| Railcars ABe 4/4 # 47 (built in 1972) and # 46 (built in 1965) are pulling the snow scraper X # 9132 near the divide between Inn and Po on the Bernina pass line. The X # 9132 was built in 1937 in Poschiavo as X # 1002 of the then independent Bernina Railway, following a similar vehicle on the Bergen line in Norway. The "wings" can be widened to 6 meter by a electro motor, remote controlled from the cab of the railcar. So the snow from the sides is pulled in the middle of the track and the rotary snow blower can hurl it away. |
