Remarks & Notes |
Man life was good back in early 2000's. Someone from UP thought it was cool to get most of the DRGW tunnel motors and placed them in Helper, Utah. It was a railfan's delight. Here a trio of helpers are tacked on the head end of this rail train to help it up Soldier Summit. The train is working between Kyune and Colton. The train is pretty much done with the heavy work as the grade is alot less west of Kyune. Between Kyune and Summit the tracks only gain another 429 feet in 12 miles to Summit. Compared to 1150 feet they gain in the 12 miles between Helper and Kyune. |
