Sadly, after a man was struck and killed just down the line from this location, all trains came to a halt. For about an hour, everything was held while emergency crews were on scene. Once the area was cleared, the back up of trains began to move. First to get clearance was the CSXT stack/juice train. Then came the Savannah Port Terminal transfer, and finally the CSXT local. One may also notice the number of old signals that guard this spot just before the Amtrak platform area.
