The 8091 West with a trio of “fast-forties” (high geared SD40-2s) is at the point of either one of the Overland Mail trains or the VAN for LA departing Cheyenne on its run over Sherman Hill. The Wyoming Capitol dome is at the far left. The old Hitching Post, once a great place to stay, stands along US 30 and the classic UP depot's spire can be seen above the fourth trailer in the consist.
