Maine Eastern Returns to New Jersey
Following the end of operations on the Morristown & Erie's Northern Counterpart, the Maine Eastern Railroad, the Morristown & Erie was quick to find a temporary home for M&E 764 and leased the unit to the Strasburg Railroad for just shy of a year. On January 30, 2017 the Morristown & Erie received this unit in interchange from Norfolk Southern and collected it the following day. While the unit spent the day dead in tow there were a few opportunities to catch the Maine native "leading" in a light January snowfall. |
