Remarks & Notes
This NB-41 crew was called out on a Saturday to retrieve a local freight that would have normally returned to the yard the previous evening. The train is operating on NJ Transit's Pascack Valley Line and it typically handled many 86' Auto Parts cars returning from the aptly-named Ford Lead in Teterboro. The cause of the off-schedule run might be related to the moderate snow accumulation seen here. The lead unit is interesting, as it was rebuilt by Conrail's Juniata Locomotive Shop from a derelict CSX GP38. This view has changed a bit since 1996, as a passing siding has been installed just past the classic signal, which itself was replaced with a more modern version.
