Leaning into the curve on the site of the 2008, head-on collision between Metrolink 111 and Union Pacific's southbound LOF65, UP 4685 leads this afternoon's edition of the northbound LOF65 upgrade toward Tunnel 28. If one looks close, you can make out the conductor waving a piece of paperwork in the windshield as the engineer gives a few friendly honks before they duck into the short tunnel.
