Remarks & Notes

The Chicago to LA intermodal train is about to pass the Amtrak depot in Galesburg on the BN side. The SP had trackage rights over the BN back in 1994 from KC to Chicago. After the BNSF the SP started using the Santa Fe side too. Didn't see a ton of Rio Grande stuff leading, but it was sure nice when it did. Believe this shot was during Galesburg Railroad Days in 1994?
