Remarks & Notes

With some last afternoon sunlight lighting up the head end, the Rio Grande Ski Train loads passengers at Winter Park, Colorado, on February 9, 2001. As soon as everybody is boarded, the three former Amtrak F40PHs will duck into the Moffat Tunnel’s west portal for a trip east of the Continental Divide back home to Denver.
