Remarks & Notes
Even in Northwest Georgia visibility is still low due to the wildfire in the surrounding area. CSX K445-11 (Iowa/CN-Lawrenceville,GA) lean into the curve in Ringgold,GA (MP WA-115.7 Ringgold) heading south for Lawrenceville,GA on the CSX Western & Atlantic Sub (WA).Let take the time out and talk about the lead motor, CN 2421 is one of 55 C40-8M (non-BCOL) purchase by the CN railroad between the year 1990-1992. The full-width cowl body a Canadian railroad trademark, and the use of a Canada-specific nose and windshield configuration these locomotive differ from the usual modern day locomotive. The trucks also differ, all units built ride on Dofasco trucks identical to locomotives built by Montreal Locomotive Works, Bombardier, and Morrison-Knudsen.
