So I was probably the last railfan in America to have never shot a Norfolk Southern heritage unit (saw a couple far off, deep in yards, but never shot a photo of one) that is until word came that the Nickel Plate Road unit would be leading a hot Z train into Southern California this past Sunday. Knowing it would be cloudy west of Cabazon and there would be no nose light east of Cabazon, I went to Cabazon in hopes of getting a clean shot. Might just be a wedgie, but it would have made Lucius Bebee happy, and it made me happy too!
Taking a look at the same train and scene as captured by different photographers. The best way to view will be to sort by photo date so the photos are grouped together.
