Remarks & Notes
Southern Tier Stone

An eastbound Conrail stone train rolls out of Deposit, New York on the Southern Tier. At this time, the Susquehanna was regularly hauling solid trains of stone one end of the Northern Division to the other. The stone came from the quarry in Jamesville, New York, and was hauled to an interchange with Conrail in Binghamton. It is entirely possible that this stone came from Jamesville.
