With a violent summer thunderstorm rolling in overhead, trains from CN and CP charge out of Black Canyon toward Basque, BC, where both trains will continue westbound on CN's Ashcroft Sub. Though CP's manifest appears to have the edge in this race, the CN RTC will give the home road the nod, and the stack train will take the lead as the freights continue down the Thompson.
