| This refurbished older Type 5M2A suburban commuter set (leading motor coach still with her old diamond shaped pantograph intact) looks fantastic in the PRASA / Metrorail "Business Express" livery. As a typical Highveld afternoon thunderstorm gathers overhead, Train No. 9478 (Set SBE 1 - Soweto Business Express), departs Platform 13 at Johannesburg Station for Soweto located south of the city. The Soweto Business Express service has since been cancelled and these costly refurbished / upgraded sets designed specifically for Metrorail's step-up service have been seen working as regular suburban commuter trains in recent times. |
