Remarks & Notes
Delaware & Hudson to Boston & Maine to Union Pacific

Spotted in Saint Paul, Minnesota, on a sweltering July 23, 1999, in Union Pacific GP39-2 2732. Built in March 1976 as Delaware & Hudson 7613, this engine was later sold to the Boston & Maine, becoming their number 353. From the B&M it was sold to Union Pacific. Initially, the UP kept the B&M number but gave it UP initials. On August 28, 1996, it was renumbered to 2732. (On August 31, 2000, it would be renumbered again, becoming UP 1232.)
