The Upper Sacramento River brings life to these mountains. Many deciduous trees grow along the riverbed, bringing life and color to these forests during the month of October. The sound of a gentle breeze whistling through the air is temporarily disrupted by a northbound freight train, grinding its way into Dunsmuir.
