CN dock crews load blast furnace trim (crushed iron bearing taconite rock) into the hold of the laker Arthur M. Anderson. The taconite was mined at U.S. Steel's Minntac plant. The use of gravity to load ore into lake vessels dates back over 130 years at this location.
