Remarks & Notes |
44 456 of Bavarian Railway Museum BEM with a freighttrain on the way south to Nördlingen. The locomotive has a rather interesting CV: Build 1941 by Krauss-Maffei in munich with factory number 16151 the engine was first stationed in Linz in Austria. After the war the engine got to DR and was stationed in Halle, Nordhausen and other places. 1965 it was rebuild with Oil burner. 1982 the loco was rebuild back to coal firing. and 1987 the inner engine was removed in RAW Meiningen to use the loco as a self propelled heating unit. 1992 BEM could buy the machine, in Meiningen inner engine was reassembled, and loco was sometimes used up to 1994 when inspection Deadline ended. After 15 years turned off the engine was inspected 2009 and is in use since then. |
