One of the classic spots to see locomotives in Duluth was at NP's Rice's Point Yard roundhouse. Of the few visits I was able to make there, this has to be my favorite shot, with GP9s, Alco RS11s and RS3s gathered, and even an Alco switcher peaking out from behind the Geep. Unfortunately, at 18 my budget for color slide film was limited and was far too frugal with the number of shots taken. It was also common to see Milwaukee Road power laying over here as they used the NP from St. Paul.
