Amid thickening storms, a westbound Canadian National intermodal train slinks along the shore of Jasper Lake after departing Devona, Alberta, on August 5, 2016. It’s 9:15 p.m., and the sun has already set behind the spectacular mountains of Jasper National Park, but it is still illuminating the tops of thunderstorms to the southeast. Sunlight bouncing off these brilliant clouds are what is lighting up the scene ever so slightly.
