A Lot of Horsepower for a Transfer Run

A quartet of six-axle Alco diesels (C628s and C630s) heads east out of the Southern Pacific's West Colton Yard in Bloomington, California, on an overcast January 26, 1974. This power is not heading far, though, as it is only going to the old Colton Yard to pick up a train and bring it back to the newer West Colton Yard - a distance of about four miles.
