Remarks & Notes
Two E-33s are eastbound under the intricate catenary where the westbound Port Road Branch tied into the now-abandoned Atglen & Susquehanna Branch. Note that the eastbound main is half-stick half-welded, as Conrail is pouring money into the rebuilding of the A&S Branch. No. 4606 was built by GE in December, 1956 as VGN 137; it was re-numbered as NW 237 before being acquired by the NH, which assigned it No. 306. The Penn Central changed the road number for a final time, after absorbing the NH in 1969.
