The August 9 ArcelorMittal/Quebec Cartier Mining Railway freight is seen departing Port Cartier just before sunset with 49 cars in tow for points north. The biweekly train is used to service the various camps in the remote portion of northern Quebec and to shuttle employee and company equipment from Port Cartier to Mount Wright/Fermont, Quebec. The ex-Amtrak express boxcars are modified to refrigerator cars for food service to the camps at Dog, Fox, Love and Queen on this particular trip. In the distance, the rear of the train consists of flat cars carrying TOFC, RV/campers, personal vehicles and company trucks. Also in the distance is the DPU unit of the arriving CV-818-T ore train that will be servicing the ship that sits in the harbor beyond!
