Wheeling & Lake Erie local 611 (Rook Yard-Bruceton turn) crosses high above the bustling downtown in Castle Shannon, PA taking a cut of cars to the Alleghany Valley RR interchange in Bruceton, PA. This was one of my first successful trips to the WLE, a railroad that dogged me early on after our move to Washington, DC in 2001. The Marcellus Shale traffic finally got the railroad predictable enough to make trips productive. And this photo gives a great example of the frustrating traffic and confusing roads one will encounter chasing the WLE trains around Rook Yard in the Pittsburgh metro area...
