The self propelled (2340 kW) fire-fighting and rescue train "LRZ 14" of Biasca, Xtmas 9174 # 022, 9174 # 012, Xans 9375 # 012 and Xtmas 9177 # 012 is on a practise run from Flüelen to Osogna-Cresciano through the 57 km long Gotthard Base Tunnel, running through Altdorf with about 100 km/h. Such trains, built by Windhoff/Rheine (Germany), Dräger Safety, Vogt AG and Joseph Meyer/Rheinfelden are based in Erstfeld and Biasca.
