1630 is being fired up at Union in the company of Southern Pacific (T&NO) 2-10-2 No. 975. The latter, donated to the city of Beaumont, Texas, in 1957, would have certainly been scrapped had IRM not stepped in to save it. Someday it will look as good as 1630.
