Remarks & Notes |
37419 approaches Somerleyton with the 15:48 Lowestoft - Norwich stopping service. The majority of trains on this route are worked by DMU's however due to a shortage of units a loco hauled set, currently worked by top and tailed class 37/4's can also be found working the Wherry Lines between Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft. The class 37's hauling the train are more than 50 years old with 37419 originally being released from English Electric's Vulcan Foundary on 24th June 1965 as D6991. It was renumbered to 37291 before finally becoming 37419 in December 1985 when it was re-built as an ETH fitted passenger loco. |
