Remarks & Notes
Steam Incorporated excursion to Woodville approaches Featherston not long after exiting Rimutaka Tunnel (longest in Southern Hemishpere when opened in 1955.) The ranges were originally overcome by an incline using Fell center rail. Locomotives on this route have special fire suppression fitted which now includes DA 1431 (built by Clyde in 1957.)
