Remarks & Notes
Conrail is 2 months old as the Penn Central No. 4867 and another G with a fading PRR yellow stripe are eastbound at 7:45 a.m. through Lancaster at 50-per on the 152-pound high iron. Note the freight elevator on the eastbound platform. Today, the two center mainline tracks are gone, but the platform tracks boast welded rail and concrete ties. No. 4867 was built by Altoona/Westinghouse in January of 1938.
