Remarks & Notes
A most unlikely doubleheader- the NKP 2-8-2 587 and NW 2-6-6-4 1218, as seen from standing atop the Southern Loops. The train is headed from Salisbury to Asheville, NC during the 1989 National Railway Historical Society Convention. No. 587 was built in 1918 as the Lake Erie and Western's No. 5541.
