A close-up photo of a cold weather rail joint pull apart or a break caused by a frost heave or some other cause. Found on what remains of the DM&IR Woodbridge branch line located NE of Buhl, MN. The Missabe used this line to service a few natural ore mines, both open pit and underground, that were operating in the area.
