| Mile Post 121 - [Vernal Equinox 2016 +1 Series] - In the distance, Interstate 8 crosses the tracks of the former Carrizo Gorge Railroad, now the Pacific Imperial Railroad (PIR) at Coyote Wells California.
The tower on the left is a U.S. Border Patrol surveillance installation and the cameras mounted on it can scan the highway and the surrounding valley for people crossing illegally and drug shipments coming over the border that is about five miles away on the right.
