| Hotbox Axle three west rail... Most of the folks during 611 trips on 9 & 10 April heard this message crackle across their radios more than once. Common sense says it was the steam triggering the hot box detector, regardless a 611 crew member checks the bearing for warmth at a EMT swap at Danville, VA. The EMTs were swapped both ways on the trip to ensure state certified EMT personnel were on board for each state traversed by 611's excursion trip. |
