A westbound vehicle train from Blue Island, Ill., to Argentine Yard in Kansas City, Kan., approaches the control point of "Yost" in the village of East Galesburg on November 30, 2015. Luckily an eastbound train was already lined to come through so the old Santa Fe searchlights were lit up (as normally, these are approach-lit signals). However, these don't have too much time left before they will be retired from service.
Looking back down memory lane at the last generation of GE spartan cab which includes the six axles C series and four axles B series throughout the various of Class 1 Railroads in North America throughout the years.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
