Remarks & Notes
Norfolk Southern eastbound intermodal train 24K rolls across the Pennsylvania Railroad-built viaduct high above the Neshaminy Creek in Langhore, PA. This is a rarely shot bridge on NS's Morrisville Line as for years it was grown in with trees. However, a bridge replacement project on Rt 213 (on which I am standing) called for the trees to be removed to allow the heavy equipment to access the work area, opening up a not-before-seen view of this one of a kind Pennsy bridge. A single catenary pole still stands on the bridge, a reminder of this line's electrified past as the penny's Trenton Cutoff. Can you imagine this scene with a GG1 or E44 in charge of an eastbound freight?
