An eastbound BNSF stack train, with 2 units up front and 2 DPU's, did not have the 2.5HP per ton required for the trip up Cajon, so the helpers were called upon. Today that was BNSF ACe #8750 and Dash 9 #5360. Here they shove hard on the rear of the train as they make their way through CP Walker.
While not a 'big deal' elsewhere on the system, we are always pleased to have BNSF EMD power in Southern California. Not many make it west of Barstow.
