Remarks & Notes

LV-0522 was the last mainline steam locomotive built in the Soviet Union. To commemorate the ending of an era, it was given a blue paint scheme. LV-0522 is seen here at Podmoskovnaya Depot waiting in front of the turntable. The roundhouse, turntable, and water tower at this location have all been in constant use since they were built in 1901 and are some of the only surviving examples of Imperial Russian railway structures west of Moscow.
