Remarks & Notes
Perhaps the most spectacular bridge on the Alaska Railroad is the one spanning Hurricane Gulch around MP 284. It is a signature location on the railroad and one of my personal favorites as well. The namesake Hurricane Turn is nearly centered on the bridge as the train pauses to give the passengers a chance to peer 300 feet to the bottom of the gulch. It was a wet, dreary overcast day perfect for rendering this shot in black & white.
