CR 6666, a former Erie-Lackawanna SD45-2 is shown at Altoona, PA along with RS-3M 9937. CR 6666 features an extended range fuel tank preferred by the EL while CR 9937 has been rebuilt with an EMD prime mover. A number of SD45-2s appeared to be in storage at Altoona when I made this visit back in fall 1982.
