The PRR 1223 and 7002 pose for the cameras in the first of two night photo sessions during the 1985 NRHS 50th Anniversary Convention, hosted by the Lancaster Chapter. The open-flash lighting was directed by the late Mr. James A. (Jim) Boyd, then-editor of "Railfan & Railroad" magazine. 94 ticket-holders participated in the session.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
