Christmas greetings from snowy Wenatchee, where unlike last winter, the snow has been falling on a near daily basis for the past week. Here BNSF 6530 is anxious to get its Q train moving off the Columbia River Sub and onto the Scenic Sub to meet the winter challenges Stevens Pass presents. Highways between Wenatchee and the Seattle area have been closed off and on due to accidents and avalanche removal windows over the past few days, but the railroad keeps moving. Extra motive power is parked adjacent to the yard office. These units handle locals, as well as DPU needs and freights out of Appleyard.
