Remarks & Notes
Hungary's M61 series was built by NoHAB (Sweden, Trollhättan) under the license of GM-EMD and NoHAB. Modified first in Australia by Clyde using two cabs, then by NoHAB to fit the Europen standards. Ones of the original 20 built for MÁV have Co'Co' wheel arrangement but latter used imports are using four powered axles from the factory; A1A'A1A’. On 22. December 2015 the half of M61 004 was exhibited on it's new place at Tapolca railway station, the old home of the 20 piece series. On the photo you can see the exhibition-special heading Tapolca on a foggy morning, all 6 remaining locos in one set. What a pleasure!
