The evening rush hour traffic is at its height as two F40PHs race out of Boston's North Station. MBTX 1017 leads Mass Bay 329 to Lowell and MBTX 1011 leads a Fitchburg bound train. A scene that'll never happen again, as the MBTA has taken the entire roster of F40PHs out of active service. Their fate is unknown, but for many, their synonymous with the MBTA commuter rail, and always will be.
