A Former Bicentennial... As the BNSF Railway's 2015 California Division Christmas Train passes through Oro Grande, California, it passes the TXI Riverside Inc. cement plant. From the train, we get a good view of the two Harbor Rail Services GP40s that are leased to TXI: HRSX 3002 and 3001. These were both originally Western Pacific GP40s, with HRSX 3001 being the former WP 3542 and HRSX 3002 originally numbered WP 3541. WP fans will note that WP 3541 was one of the railroad's two Bicentennial units, as from 1976 to 1979 it was painted red, white and blue and renumbered WP 1976.
