| NS local P61 grinds up the grade at Five Row with its typical assortment of old EMD power. In the lead today is an Ex. Southern high hood GP38-2. Word has it that the program to "admiral cab" the high hood 38-2s has been put on hold while the SD70ACU rebuilt program ramps up. Trailing second is NS 7083, a former Southern high hood GP50, one of only a handful remaining on the active roster. The unit is living a borrowed time, and will likely be a GP33ECO by year's end. |
