Southern Pacific Telephone Box - An old Southern Pacific telephone box sits at Control Point Division near the Mexican border,
While it is not unusual to find these old cement boxes, it is unusual to find one with the wooden door still attached,
Moreover, to find one with the wooden shelf still mounted on the wall is even rarer still.
I believe this one is so well preserved due to it's remote location and the fact that the surrounding desert is very dry and gets little rain.
The steel bridge at Campo Creek is a mere 100 yards from this control point.
