EL Lives!
"Erie Lackawanna" 1700 leads NS 18G through Hillside on its maiden voyage east. The unit is returning to it's usual assignment, working for Conrail Shared Assets operations in Northern New Jersey. Trailing this four unit consist is another former EL SD45-2, NS 1704, and the unique profile of it's 5,000 gallon fuel tank is the only spotting feature from this angle. NS 1700 began life in November 1972 as Erie Lackawanna 3669 and looks amazing in EL colors.
